Fill Areas

 

Creating and Deleting Fill Areas

FLDraw manages fill areas automatically, by looking at the layout of walls and fences.

 

Customize a Fill Area

Do the following:
  1. Open the Area Properties dialog box, do one of the following to open it:
    • Double-click on the fill area.
    • Right-click on the fill area, then choose Properties from the menu.
    • Select the fill area, then click the Properties button on the toolbar.
    • Select the fill area, then press the Enter key on your keyboard.
  2. Set options in the Area Properties dialog box.
  3. Click OK.

Arrange Fill Areas

To arrange overlapping fill areas, do one of the following:
  • Right-click on the fill area you want to move, then choose Bring Forward or Send Backward from the menu.
  • Select the fill area you want to move, then click the Bring Forward button or the Send Backward button on the toolbar.

 

Move an Area Value Label

Do one of the following:
  1. Method 1:
    1. Click on the label you want to move (hold down the mouse button).
    2. Drag the label to the new position.
    3. Release the mouse button.
     
  2. Method 2:
    1. Select the label, then use the keyboard arrow keys.
      (Hold down the Shift key while pressing an arrow key to move faster.)

 

Rotate an Area Value Label

Do one of the following:
  1. Method 1:
    1. Select the label.
    2. Click and drag the rotate handle to rotate the label (hold down the mouse button).

    3. Release the mouse button.
     
  2. Method 2:
    1. Open the Area Properties dialog box.
    2. Select the Label tab.
    3. Enter the new value in the Rotation text box.
    4. Click OK.

Customize an Area Value Label

Do the following:
  1. Open the Area Properties dialog box.
  2. Select the Label tab.
  3. Set options in the Label tab.
  4. Click OK.
