Objects

 

Add Objects

Do the following:
  1. Click the Objects Library button on the toolbar to open the Objects Library window (if it's not open).
  2. Select the desired category from the tree on the left.
  3. Choose the object from the list on the right.
  4. Drag the object to the desired position.
  5. Release the mouse button.

Customize an Object

Do the following:
  1. Open the Object Properties dialog box, do one of the following to open it:
    • Double-click on the object.
    • Right-click on the object, then choose Properties from the menu.
    • Select the object, then click the Properties button on the toolbar.
    • Select the object, then press the Enter key on your keyboard.
  2. Set options in the Object Properties dialog box.
  3. Click OK.

Move an Object

Do one of the following:
  1. Method 1:
    1. Click on the object you want to move (hold down the mouse button).
    2. Drag the object to the new position.
    3. Release the mouse button.
     
  2. Method 2:
    1. Select the object, then use the keyboard arrow keys.
      (Hold down the Shift key while pressing an arrow key to move faster.)

 

Resize an Object

Do one of the following:
  1. Method 1:
    1. Select the object.
    2. Click and drag one of the resize handles to resize the object (hold down the mouse button).

    3. Release the mouse button.
     
  2. Method 2:
    1. Open the Object Properties dialog box.
    2. Select the Size tab.
    3. Enter the new width value in the Width text box, and the new height value in the Height text box.
    4. Click OK.

Rotate an Object

Do one of the following:
  1. Method 1:
    1. Select the object.
    2. Click and drag the rotate handle to rotate the object (hold down the mouse button).

    3. Release the mouse button.
     
  2. Method 2:
    1. Open the Object Properties dialog box.
    2. Select the Size tab.
    3. Enter the new value in the Rotation text box.
    4. Click OK.

Note
It's not possible to rotate a door/window that is placed in a wall.

 

Duplicate an Object

Do one of the following:
  • Right-click on the object, then choose Duplicate from the menu.
  • Select the object, then click the Duplicate button on the toolbar.

 

Delete an Object

Do one of the following:
  • Right-click on the object, then choose Delete Selection from the menu.
  • Select the object, then click the Delete button on the toolbar.
  • Select the object, then press the Delete key on your keyboard.

 

Arrange Objects

To arrange overlapping objects, do one of the following:
  • Right-click on the object you want to move, then choose Bring Forward or Send Backward from the menu.
  • Select the object you want to move, then click the Bring Forward button or the Send Backward button on the toolbar.

 

Flip a Door/Window

To flip a door/window object that is placed in a wall, do one of the following:
  1. Method 1:
    1. Select the object.
    2. Use the Flip Horizontal and Flip Vertical buttons.

  2. Method 2:
    1. Open the Object Properties dialog box.
    2. Select the Size tab.
    3. Use the Flip Horizontal and Flip Vertical buttons.
    4. Click OK.
